Delete your ValkFire account
ValkFire is published by BonkWorks Studios LLC.
In the app
This works the same in the phone app and in the web app your department uses on its computers.
- Open ValkFire and sign in.
- Go to You (the tab at the bottom), then Help & account (Account & sign out or Your account in older versions).
- Tap Delete my account.
- Read what is deleted and what is kept, type DELETE, and confirm.
It happens at once. Your department's administrators are told in their inbox.
Can't sign in?
Email privacy@valkfire.com from the email address on your roster entry, or tell us the phone number you sign in with and the name of your fire department. We will confirm it is you, delete the account within 30 days, and reply when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in: the phone number or email you use to get in
- Your phones' notification registrations, so pages stop arriving
- Your phone number, email and emergency contact on your department's roster
- Your photo
- Where you were on the way to a call, if you shared it (it is already deleted when you arrive or the call ends)
- On the device you delete from: your face or fingerprint sign-in and your answer about reading photos with AI
What your fire department keeps
- Calls you were on and what you did on them
- Truck checks, trainings and meetings you signed
- Your certifications and state license numbers
- Your pay hours
Why these are kept
These are the fire department's own records of its work, not only yours. Departments are
required to keep them for years under state law, so ValkFire does not delete them when a member
leaves. Your name stays on the department's roster until one of its administrators takes you off
it. To have something about you corrected or removed, ask your department's administrator. If
your department closes its ValkFire account, it can ask for all of its records to be deleted.
