ValkFire

Evaluation terms

Version of October 26, 2026. ValkFire is published by BonkWorks Studios LLC (“ValkFire”, “we”).

These terms cover a ValkFire evaluation pass: the Ride-Along and the demo department, opened with a pass we give a fire department on a call. By ticking “I agree” on the pass's first screen you accept them for yourself, and for your department to the extent you are authorized to. If you are not authorized to agree for your department, you still agree personally, and you will show these terms to anyone in your department you show ValkFire to. The version you agreed to is kept with your pass.

1. Who a pass is for

A pass is for one fire department, after we confirm it is one, so that department can decide whether to use ValkFire. It works on the first two devices that open it, until the time shown on its first screen (normally 72 hours). You may show what you see to people in your department and its governing body who help make that decision.

2. What you agree not to do

Nothing in these terms limits which products your department may evaluate or buy.

3. Made-up data only

Everything in the Ride-Along and the demo department is made up. Don't enter real patients, people or calls. The demo department is put back to its starting point every night, and anything entered there is erased.

4. What we see

Which Ride-Along chapters and demo screens were opened and when, the kind of device (for example “iPhone · Safari”), a random number this browser keeps so the pass knows its two devices, and the name you type when you agree. We use it to answer your questions and to protect the software, never for a mailing list. We keep this for 12 months after the pass ends, then delete it, unless we need it to protect the software from misuse. Your department can ask us for a copy of its own record. Your department's name and the time show faintly on every screen. More in our privacy policy.

5. When a pass ends

At the time shown, when we end it, or by itself when it sees what no person does (an automated browser, a browser with no screen, or many chapters in a few minutes). Call or text ValkFire for more time.

6. Confidential

Until we publish it ourselves, treat what you see as ValkFire's confidential information and trade secret. We take reasonable steps to keep it secret, including the pass itself, its time and device limits, and the watermark. If your department is a government entity and receives a request for data that came from your evaluation, your public-records law controls (in Minnesota, the Government Data Practices Act). Please tell us promptly so we can explain why any of it is trade secret information under Minn. Stat. § 13.37 before you respond. Nothing in these terms asks you to break that law.

7. No cost, no commitment, no warranty

The evaluation is free and commits neither side to anything. It is provided as is, without any warranty. A subscription is a separate written agreement.

8. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of the state where your department is located, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about them will be heard in the state courts for the county where your department is located, unless that state's law requires otherwise.
